
Junior Accounting Manager
Job Summary
As a full-time remote Junior Accounting Manager at Charles Ardor & Company you will play a key role in managing the accounting operations and overseeing the financial processes for our clients. You will work closely with the senior management team to ensure the delivery of real-time accounting services to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across various sectors. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, leadership skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote work environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Accounting Operations Management:

Oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.

Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, invoices, and payments.

Collaborate with the team to resolve complex accounting issues and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Monitor financial data and transactions to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.

Team Coordination and Supervision:

Coordinate and assign tasks to the accounting team, ensuring efficiency and adherence to deadlines.

Provide guidance, training, and support to junior team members in executing accounting tasks and projects.

Review the work of junior team members, providing constructive feedback and ensuring accuracy and quality.

Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, promoting knowledge sharing and professional growth.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, reports, and analysis for assigned clients.

Support financial analysis and forecasting activities to provide insights and recommendations for clients' financial performance.

Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and industry-specific standards.

Collaborate with clients to explain financial results, address inquiries, and resolve accounting-related issues.

Client Relationship Management:

Collaborate with clients to understand their accounting needs and provide tailored solutions.

Serve as a point of contact for assigned clients, building strong professional relationships.

Ensure client satisfaction by addressing inquiries, resolving accounting-related issues, and delivering high-quality services.

Collaborate with clients to define and meet service level agreements, ensuring timely and accurate accounting services.

Process Improvement and Efficiency:

Identify opportunities to optimize accounting processes, workflows, and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Proactively suggest and implement process improvements and automation solutions to streamline operations.

Stay updated on emerging accounting technologies and trends, leveraging them to improve service delivery and client experience.

Collaborate with the IT team to leverage accounting software and technology to enhance efficiency and streamline processes.

Compliance and Regulatory Support:

Ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles, standards, regulations, and tax requirements.

Stay updated on accounting rules and regulations to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Assist in the preparation of necessary documentation for audits, reviews, and tax filings.

Required Skills/Abilities

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA or ACCA certification is preferred.

Previous experience in accounting or finance roles, demonstrating a strong understanding of accounting principles and operations.

Proficiency in accounting software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books, Excel).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and internal stakeholders remotely.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.

Leadership abilities, with experience in coordinating and supervising a team.

Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
Proposed Compensation:
-
₦150,000 per month (net)
Terms & Conditions:
-
This is a full-time, remote role.
-
Full-time employees are subject to a probationary period of up to 6 weeks and contract may be terminated within this time if performance is deemed unsatisfactory.

Paid annual leave benefits for full-time employees are no more than:
-
20 days paid annual leave,
-
5 days paid sick leave
-
3 days bereavement leave.
