Future Accounting Leaders Internship

Position Summary:

Join our dynamic team as a Future Accounting Leader Intern and embark on a six-month journey to accelerate your accounting career! This hybrid internship program is designed for ambitious graduate who are eager to gain hands-on experience, receive mentorship from industry professionals, and develop the skills needed to become future leaders in accounting. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on real-world accounting tasks, collaborate with experienced professionals, and grow your expertise in a supportive and engaging environment. Upon successful completion of the internship, there is the potential for transition into a full-time role within the company.

Responsibilities:

  1. Hands-on Accounting Tasks:

    • Perform a variety of accounting tasks, including but not limited to data entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

    • Utilize cloud-based accounting software to maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

  2. Financial Reporting Support:

    • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, statements, and summaries under the guidance of experienced team members.

    • Gain exposure to standard financial reporting processes, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

  3. Technology Utilization:

    • Develop proficiency in using accounting software and digital tools to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency.

    • Learn to leverage Microsoft Excel and other productivity tools for data analysis and reporting purposes.

  4. Mentorship and Professional Development:

    • Receive mentorship and guidance from experienced accounting professionals, who will provide support and insights to help you succeed.

    • Participate in training sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities to further develop your skills and expand your professional network.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Graduates within their National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) year or within one year post-NYSC.

  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in accounting and a desire to learn and grow in the field.

  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and concepts.

  • Tech-savvy with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and digital tools.

  • Excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and continuous improvement.

  • Must have a functioning laptop and smartphone for remote work.

  • Must have a conducive remote work environment that allows for uninterrupted work.

  • Must be based in Abuja.

  • Expected to work remotely with two days per week (Tuesdays & Wednesdays) in-office attendance at our Gwarimpa location.

Compensation:

  • Monthly stipend: 60,000 Naira.

  • Data allowance: 5,000 Naira.
